Recently, new specialized equipment was installed at the Alexandroupolis facility allowing the Electronics Division to produce and deliver even higher quality components in record time.

Recently, new specialized equipment was installed at the Alexandroupolis electronics assembly facility. With advanced synchronous assembly capabilities and vastly greater handling speed, the equipment will allow Prisma’s Electronics Division to produce and deliver even higher quality components in record time.

The significant new investment in our assembly infrastructure features extremely sensitive equipment and technology not found elsewhere in Greece. The new machinery will bring Prisma’s assembly capacity up to 40,000 components per hour, with a precision-installation of up to 35um and technical term – please clarify.

Technical strengths will increase to include the ability to assemble packages up to 01005, while synchronously handling all types of SMT packages (from 01005, SOIC, PLCC, TSOP, QFP, BGA, flip chip, odd-shape, surface-mount connectors, through-hole components, CSP, CCGA, DPAK, Alcap, Tantalum). The unit is already in use at Prisma’s industrial plant, where the staff reports a significant increase in the changeover speed for assembly jobs, with a greater degree of accuracy and quality control at their disposal.
